Some say that people with AS don't dream, which I don't believe because I do dream and we have a whole thread about dreaming over in the random discussion forum. However, I was wondering if people with AS had different types of dreams that NTs.

For example, people often dream about falling, flying or being chased. However, I don't have these type of dreams very often. I have dreams about my special interest a lot.

What kind of things do you guys dreams about?

I must be the opposite of an aspie then... my dreams often seem more realistic than reality (except last night... I had this weird feeling I was looking at everything through a computer screen :? )

When i was little i had a lot of lucid dreams. They were about many things.
My dream usually are about me being on the beach, about my cat or about northern lights.

I dream internet a lot these days. I'm a PC addict, so I don't find if weird. I just dream webpages and how I write stuff in it, but it's funny. I don't dream myself typing, but the screen itself. I also sometimes dream that I can't talk or that when I want to run, I am doing it slowly. I tend to dream about things I like, I think.

Do you ever read things on the screen? When I get dreams like that, I always try to and try to remember what was written the next day, but it doesn't work; the more I focus, the faster I wake up.

Hmmm... citation needed!

The entire premise of this thread seems a bit shaky based on that.

What? I've dreamed about falling, flying and being chased before.
It is commonly known for most people to dream about their fears. I do, and everybody I know does. Everybody dreams, and there aren't certain types of dreams what certain people with certain neurologys have.

Even people with Alzheimer's dream. And babies. And people with mental retardation.

I've had many dreams that I was falling. Other than that, I've never really had nightmares before. In fact, I don't think I've ever dreamed of being chased.

I just think it's strange that the vast majority of my dreams have some sort of social interaction in them, but yet in real life I hardly ever think about other people.

I have this when I am under heavy stress. I have dreams that not only feel real, but they are also realistic in the sense that their "plot" is plausible. Usually takes me quite some time after waking up to sort out what I dreamed, and what was real. Can lead to me having a real grudge towards someone because he was being a jerk in my dream, even after realizing that it was not real, just with this faint image in the back of my head messint with me.

In this case, I'm also not an Aspie. I think my dreams are fairly normal most of the time. I rarely see definite faces, on most occasions I only hear voices of people, if any. Sometimes I have lucid dreams, they often frighten me a little later when I realize them, and they tend to repeat themselves on the following nights.

Sometimes I feel trapped in my dream, I don't like those kind of dreams, they usually depress me a little. And there are those dreams in which I know exactly they are just dreams, no more. I either enjoy them or quit them by making some stupid suicidal act, just for the sake of doing it. :)

I don't often remember my dreams. I have flying dreams but those aren't the same as depicted in movies. I'm not just flying around in the air. It's more controllable as in sometimes in the dream I'm on the ground and then I need to go somewhere up high so I just float up there. In fact floating is a better descriptor. I have the opposite of being chased dreams. I'm the one who's doing the chasing, generally in a blind rage. The person I'm chasing is making fun of me and I can't quite catch him. It's like I'm moving through molasses.

Hmm... has anyone ever re-spawned in their dreams?

Haha! Thats funny! I think my brother has.

I dream about pretty creepy stuff, but sometimes my dreams are so normal that I confuse them with real life, like for exaple my dad lost something and I dreamt that he found it. So in reallife I thought he found it, but he didnt. But afterwards he found it in the place i dreamt that he found it!

Everyone dreams. It's just that people don't remember all their dreams after waking up. I wish I could remember more of mine, more often. I love having lucid dreams.

The majority of the content of my dreams consists of either going to school, going to the mall or repairing my relationship with my former best friend, or some combination of the three. In all of the dreams, the structures of the buildings are much larger, with many more stories and long staircases and the walls sometimes have graffiti on them.

Sometimes I have dreams about my special interests, but it's pretty rare compared to how often I dream about the other stuff. There are also times when I experience lucid dreams and false awakenings.

My dreams are very interesting, when I'm not running for my life from some axe wielding maniac that is.
I have had many dreams about celestial events that happen around the time of the dream or in the future.
The latest one was of two moons in the sky and I was at first confused by it, because it's usually very clear what my dreams are reminding me of.
Then I realised two lunar eclipses are happening this year.

I don't actually think my dreams are reminding me but that I read about them and the the thoughts hover in my sub conscious and then I eventually dream about them. It does remind me to get off my a** and take my telescope outside more though.
I find it very interesting.

Other types of dreams I have when my teeth are aching or even falling out. I hate those.
