I noticed a few months ago that I find myself investigating things for no apparent reason other than to investigate them. After asking around and doing some research I found out I have the detective gene, although some people told me that i'm just paranoid. Is this common in AS? Your thoughts.

I wouldn't doubt it. I always find myself looking for little details, especially if I'm in a situation where I need to solve a problem. Just today, my garage door wouldn't close. After looking at the child-safety sensors by the door, I saw that the power light was blinking as if something was blocking the sensor. Clearly, there was nothing there. But upon further inspection, I noticed one of the sensors was crooked due to a loose screw in the wall. After adjusting the angle of the sensor, the door worked perfectly.

I often think I would make a good detective. I know it's just TV, but quite often I can work out where the plot is heading, very early on. When watching yesterday's Doctor Who, I worked out a huge secret within the first few minutes. I've diagnosed several of Dr House's patients long before he managed to. The only thing that has deterred me from doing this as a job was that I'd have to be a regualr police officer for a while, first, and that's just not my idea of fun.
