its a curse if you don't kick the majority's ass quick. a gift if you do. learn some criminal skills shoplifting is a good start cuz it saves money. then start kicking ass. A Dr. Johnson quote "it takes a minority to rule a majority." use the minority well

I don't feel cursed at all. I'm happy to be alive and my AS makes me an interesting person. :)

I tend to be treated more gently by people since I come off as shy.

When I worked at the resteraunt they knew I was in special education so they used that as a reason to treat me as a pariah. They said I was different because I was ret*d. I was not diagnosed back then.

There was one guy in my Dungeons and Dragons meet-up group who kept saying I was not autistic because I laughed too much and had a vivid imagination it does not matter that I had two neuro-psychologists who said without a doubt I am autistic. The guy treated everyone badly telling them how to run their characters so I had enough of this guy ruining my game so I quit being there it was causing me too much anxiety being there anyways. :x

My classmates don't know I have Aspergers but I think they suspect I have some kind of disability by the way they treat me. They treat me like I'm a little girl!

Growing up, no one ever treated me nice. Everyone thought I acted out badly on purpose for attention or whatever. My own parents used to abuse me along with their relatives, friends, etc. What's even worse is that my dad couldn't see that I had some similar characteristics to him. I'm 99.9% sure he has Aspergers too since he has special interests, lacks eye contact, & no empathy. Or maybe his lack of empathy made it so he was unable to recognize my quirks. I can't speak for him, only me. As an adult, few people have ever treated me nice. Usually they like me because at first appearances, I don't seem too odd. But once they discover that I am quirky, they kick me to the curb. Happens in nearly every case too. I've been used & abused repeatedly since I was a little girl. Sucks but that's my life in a nutshell.

I get treated nicely by those who understand Aspergers. They understand the condition and they know that my weird behaviour is a normal part of having Aspergers. For those other people who don't know I have it just think I'm some kind of strange girl

most people dont know i have AS. those that do dont treat me differently. one deosnt understand what being autistic entails and keeps suggesting stuff that would be inadvisable like clubbing(crowds, heat, loud noises, flashing, funny coloured lights=bad). my mother told me a couple of years after being DXed that she wasn't taking all i said seriously because she knew that it was because of my AS that i said things like that. made me feel stupid and delegitimised and patronised. people who don't know treat me with care if they see me as being passive and others just make fun of my differences.

Well i can tell many people treated me with respect, even some bullies in some circumstances. Some teachers were respectful towards me and sympathetic and friendly and were also joking with me in a good way, they even asked my sister when i finished school about what i was doing back then when she was in school and i was in army, even people in army treated me with respect, also many girls(probably because i am handsome too),also many the same age with me and relatives.Yes their was the occasional bullying and patronizing but at least many people also found me funny and liked my jokes.I also hanged out with people, both in school and army.Is it because i live in a Christian Orthodox country and are more accepting? Also many people in my country are supportive with people with disabilities. As some use the 'R' word. But for you all,is that really logical? Not even two persons treated you with respect, providing they knew you are different?

p.s.some people who didn't know me were bullying towards me,i don't know why, there is something with my appearance or i seem like an easy target or demons want them to do that?Because i have seen many unpopular guys never being bullied. Also some made fun of me but i don't blame them, they did not know me,since i was doing weird things, like after when i bought things from a convenience store i put hand gel in my hands and standing there and counting till 15.

It varies, I find telling people that Im aspergers doesnt really make a difference. Sometimes people will sense that I am different and they treat me like a little kid and sometimes they treat me as equals. At this point, only people that I know me well enough know Im different. Other people just think Im shy and/or rude. I find that the knowledge of aspergers doesnt lead to someone accepting you. They either will or they wont regardless.
