I think I've found that asthma seems more common in autism than people without autism. Is this true? I've got autism & I've got fairly severe asthma & when my asthma gets worse, my autism gets worse.

I don't know, I don't have asthma, but I don't know about other people.

I have asthma, but it is not severe. I don't know of any links between asthma, autism, and Asperger's.

Some doctors theorize a link between autism, allergies and asthma.

My son has all three.

His asthma can be severe but isn't always.

I was diagnosed with asthma as a child. Also was rife with allergies, until I fixed my diet. Probably a gut thing. A link wouldn't seem ridiculous to me.

I have asthma but I'm not sure if AS is the cause. More likely it seems is the fact that my parents smoked several packs each per day for the first 20 years of my life. No one from my parents have it, and me and both my brothers are asthmatic. My brothers were removed from the home when they were younger and they outgrew it. I wasn't. And I haven't. I hate smoking. And I hate smokers. f**k smoking. And f**k smokers.

I has asthma as a kid, though it wasn't very bad, the only thing that triggered it was cigarette smoke.
