a relationship) because of their Autism?
I often feel this way with my wife. She is a natural extrovert, and just cannot understand WHY I feel the way I do. I am a natural introvert, and have a LOT of trouble making and keeping friends. The loneliness is often painful, but to my wife it's a case of "just reach out to people!". That's obviously easy for HER to say! *sigh*
Any comments? :(

Always. I've been single for a year and a half almost and I don't mind it. I have matured I think and that's a good thing. I have been depressed too though.

I always have. Since people are naturally drawn to more socially outgoing persons - which I'm not - I've always felt very isolated.

My partner is undiagnosed AS and I am a half extrovert/half introvert NT with some Aspie qualities myself. I feel like I can understand him pretty well but I still get upset with myself when I realise that I've misunderstood him AGAIN.

It must feel very lonely at times.

I am at my most comfortable when I am isolated from other people and alone. I am not sure what feeling "lonely" is like.

It’s bound to happen. We’re on a different wavelength than NTs.

I thank all of you for your input. I don't think she understands very well; but at least I believe she is trying harder to.
Unfortunately, I still feel pretty isolated, even now. I just pray that will change for the better, soon... :(
