So, I finally got my AS diagnosis. The consultant said verbally that I was AS, but when I received his report, he didn't actually explain what any of the scores he'd given me meant?

I've been looking online, but I can't find any results without having to do a test first, and I'd really rather be able to see an explanation of my results comprehensively :). Can anyone help?

AQ = 34
Cambridge Behavioural Scale = 18
Relatives Questionnaire = 9
HADS Anxiety = 11
HADS Depression = 5
SWLS = 10
AAA = 12

Erm...?!

I don't really know what much of any of that means. AQ is 'Autism Quotient' and people who score 32 or higher are likely to be somwhat autistic.

Here's what I found, with the help of our good friend, Google:

AQ = Autism Quotient, as explained by Moog

Cambridge Behavioural Scale = Empathy Quotient
http://www.autismresearchcentre.com/arc_tests
click on "Empathy Quotient". Lower scores are associated with ASDs. Tells how to score the test, does not explain what the "cutoff" is.

HADS = Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS)
http://www.eardoctor.org/pdf/Hospital%20Anxiety%20and%20Depression%20Scale.pdf

Relatives Questionnaire: Sorry, Google didn't help on this one. This is a fairly generic title for a questionnaire, and there is no way to know which one was used.

SWLS = Satisfaction With Life Scale.
http://internal.psychology.illinois.edu/~ediener/Documents/Understanding%20SWLS%20Scores.pdf

AAA = Adult Asperger Assessment
http://www.autismresearchcentre.com/arc_tests, then click on the link to the test. Exel worksheet.

Maybe someone from GB can help fill in the blanks I couldn't find anything on. Hope this helps!

edited to add a couple links.

Another 1 - Thanks, that gave me some good info! I couldn't find those at all - just kept getting company websites :(.

The SWLS is the best one, I think. Nicely laid out and with a lot of explanation! :wink:
