I just discovered that I have likely had aspergers and adhd all of my life this past spring semester, and have been scrambling to try and start making sense of my life to this point, and I am doing pretty good right now, atleast with my health. I started engaging in a lot of healthy habits (exercise, green tea, fish oil, lumosity, eating really well), seeing a psychologist who specializes in natural adhd treatment, allergy shots, etc, but now that I have locked that component of my life away, Im starting to focus on my personality.

I'm discovering that theres, um, not a lot to focus on lol. I don't have any close friends, besides my identical twin brother, and I don't have any interest or hobbies, which is what I wanted to hear about from everyone else on this forum.

What kind of hobbies are all of you guys into? What do you like about that hobby, and how did/do you get started on it? Thanks everyone, I can't wait to read about all of the cool stuff you guys do.

For me comics have been a hobby that has taken over my life at times. I started collecting when I was 7 years old. So that makes it 25 years now. I just enjoy the trip to the comic shop every wednesday and getting lost in the worlds that take place in comics. I even work at the comic shop a couple of days a week.

It was interesting when comic movies became popular I would be at social events and I finally found things to talk about with people.

I have spent quite alot on comics but I have also made alot of money. I paid for my wedding with comics and I even used my comics to pay for a down payment on my house. I was always good at knowing what comics to buy and sell. I wish I could be this good at actual investments.

Try metal detecting. For me it's fun not knowing what you might discover.

Depends on where you live. When I lived in Arizona I found a few bullet shells and cans of spam from the gold rush in the late 1800's up in the mountains. But there's not a whole lot to find out here on the east coast though.

Birding, or bird watching. It's not for everyone, but if you have an appreciation for the natural world, animals, etc. AND you have Apsie-ish tenancies toward collecting things, differentiating between things, organizing things, making lists, and so on...it can be the perfect hobby. I've been doing a moderate amount of birding for about two and a half years and I find it extremely interesting. Many amateur "naturalists" such as myself identify and keep a sort of catalogue of (or at least make a mental note of) almost every type of life we come across, but birds are, like, the ultimate life form for these purposes.

If you enjoy games like World of Warcraft, you are a natural candidate for birding. You just have to embrace the sighting of bird as a corollary for the goals achievements of the game: probability-based, rarity-driven, virtually inexhaustible. Only birding demands that you get off of your ass, go outside, and do something.

PS) How are comic books not actual investments?

I've had many hobbies throughout life, but the main one was always music. I love listening to songs, playing piano/guitar, playing with the band. gigs, etc. Hobbies come naturally. Relax, you will find something that will suit you pretty soon.
