One question and one question only: why isn't Tourette's Syndrome in the Autism spectrum? It should be, because tourette's can sometimes accompany autiam, Asperger's, et cetera.

Simply because two conditions are co-morbid doesn't mean they are the same type of disorder.

The very fact that you say it can "sometimes accompany" disorders on the autistic specturm shows that it isn't.

Tourette's doesn't involve the key symptoms of autistic spectrum syndromes like obsessions, sensory issues, not having a natural understanding of social rules, and so forth, so it isn't on the autistic spectrum.

By that logic Down syndrome and cerebral palsy should also be on the autistic spectrum because they too sometimes accompany autism...

I used to know someone who had Tourette's, and I can definately say it doesn't belong on the spectrum.
