I was kicked out of the ADHD community. Can I post here?

I'm a male adult and I've been diagnosed with ADHD.

I got kicked out of some ADHD message board because according to the people there my behavior was not ADHDish enough and I came across as more of an aspie due to my social stupidity and my propensity to annoy people with innocent questions and comments that were not interpreted that way.

Is it okay if I hang out here and can I get something positive out of this forum given that I presumably don't have autism or Asperger's Syndrome?

Welcome to Wrong Planet!

I have ADHD too, but I find I relate more to what goes on here than any of the ADHD forums. So here I am!

What now? That's just odd... Why would they kick you out for not being ADHD enough? I'm plenty ADHD myself and I'd never do that. Though, I guess maybe you went to them and said, "Here's these traits, does it sound like ADHD?" and they answered "No, sounds more like autism." That would make more sense.

Anyway, ADHD and autism are very closely related, and ADHD is one of the most common diagnoses found along with autism. So, you'll find that there's a large group of people with the ADHD/Autism combination here.

Of course you can stay here :) I've got 'suspected' ADHD but not ever been officially diagnosed... however I am a live-wire and have severe concentration problems... in fact I am supposed to be tidying my room right as I type this... :oops:

I'll er... just be going then because my Mum's coming in about 40 minutes!! !
