Hi

I have noticed that during June and July I have a terrible reaction to light. I think because the day is so long and the sun high, and because in England we are having unusually good weather (lost of sun). I have taken to wearing sunglasses in the house. If I don't I get agitated and my brain starts to feel like it is connected to a live wire and energy is buzzing through it. It is not a pleasent feeling. Does anyone else get like this?

In the winter months I get the opposite, my brain can shut down.

I wear sunglasses when I see neon lights.

I get like this too. We've been having a lot of rain over the past week, here. But it was really sunny on Tuesday, my eyes were watering and I was feeling awful. Also, I can develop a twitch in an eyelid for several weeks at a time, only in summer.

Interesting. I wonder if this is what I have, but my brain translates it into a desire to not get sunburnt? I stay in the shade as much as possible in the summer even when I'm wearing sunblock. Three summers ago my fear of the sun in the form of anxiety over sun damage started.

In any case I get extremely anxious when I'm in the bright sun even if it's shining through the window. This could just be light hypersensitivity like you guys'.

I find I get that due to heat more than light, but probably amplified by the light.

I am always sensitive to light. I wear my sunglasses during all seasons. It doesn't matter if it is sunny, cloudy, foggy, snowing, etc. If it is light outside, I wear sunglasses. In some stores I also wear them.

I seem to be lately, but I'm not always sensitive to light.

The light hurts my eyes year round, but I have a very strong emotional reaction to the color of summertime light, which I see as an ugly blue-white. It leaves me feeling gloomy and depressed. Fortunately, it is often overcast in the summer, so at least the light isn't as intense.

The sunlight bothers me, but with sunglasses it's not too bad... the heat on the other hand is unbearable.

I find it can be just as bad in the winter, as the sun reflects off of the snow.

I have clip-ons I bring with me all the time, but I do wish they were darker.
