Okay, I have sort of started to become religious again and became very interested in Wicca but since I started to take an interest I have been neglecting my other interest, Fashion since I want a career in that Field. How can I have more than just one interest? I feel torn like I have to make a choice between religion or work... It's really a horrible feeling and I know that work is obviously more important. Does anyone else have a problem having two strong interests? How do you deal with it?

Personally I would choose Fashion/Career over wicca! If you're still undecided, use a cauldron to combine eye of newt and toe of frog, wool of bat and tongue of dog, and a couple more ingredients, to create a Potion-of-Special-Interest-Chooser. Quaff that and within a few minutes the choice will be clear.

Combine them.

Wicca as a certain cache. Design some edgy clothing that takes inspiration from Wiccan tradition.

Let's stay serious please? I need a way to allow myself to take the time and follow multiple interests, any ideas? In a day I feel like I have to make a choice, do I read a book about Wicca or do something related to that or do I go to the Museum of Fashion. I just feel like I can't logically do both. I know it's silly and I have to find a way to pursue multiple interests...

I struggle with this as well. What about say going to the museum for the day, and head to bed a little early to read a book about Wicca? Or take the transit to the museum, and read along the way?

I also liked wavefreak's suggestion, of designing clothing with a Wiccan influence.

I currently hold a full time job as an engineer/PM at Intel, play classical guitar to a professional level, am an elite athlete and work in ASD advocacy. I also do volunteer work such as BIG Brothers, manage a 40 acre tree farm and am a landlord.

I set timers. 1 very focused hour (maybe 2 if I am really INTO something) a day on any topic will advance me. More than that will get me spinning in unproductive cycles. I find that I absorb for an hour and then let that "cook" for a day or even two and pick it back up again. This way I can manage to do many different and productive things...

Be a fashion designer if you can't choose. You should be able to timetable and keep them seperate if you want, but go for the one which will give you a decent income first.

Wow. I will try to find a similar organization because I have several interests and I risk to mess them up so much to end up doing nothing.

Like kfisherx, I use timers to help me with this - they help me to stop me over-focusing on one thing for too long (which is detrimental both in terms of that one thing I am over-focusing on, and in getting other things done).

This is good advice.

When I have tried to get alot done on one topic by doing something for 8 hours or more straight I become too easily dis-tractable and unproductive.

I'm not sure what the duties of a fashion editor would be, but combining Wicca with your fashion interests could still be viable. It might take some creativity, but that's what makes it interesting.
