Just to let you know that although I would love to comment on many subjects being discussed here at WrongPlanet I can only do it from a parents and wife of grown childern and husband that have AS. One of my grown children comes on this site and comments on many things being talked about here.
So you won't be seeing to much of me as I don't want to find I am commenting on the same thread she is and as I don't know her log in name many of you might guess we are related and she doesn't want that. So to give her the freedom to talk and be herself I am taking a few steps back and will try to only comment on what it is like from my perspective being mother and wife to AS people.

That seems fair enough, but at least she take comfort from the fact that she has a very supportive mother and one who tries to understand. Not everyone with AS has a mother like yourself. In fact some of us have parents who try to deny that you have it, which can make things more frustrating.

I understand. Sometimes, we feel that way.

I hope things go well for you in the near future!

See, even if I were a parent I doubt I'd ever have thought of that in a situation similar to yours. But having read your post I can see that you're evidently a very caring mother
