I am wondering how many people with AS have kids. I wander how many also want kids.

42...dont have kids and no desire for kids....if my boyfriend was interested(he isnt) I would like to take care of kids with disabilities...I will have to make do with my cats....(crazy old cat lady alert)

I have no children and I have not desired children, but I've become more open to the idea. I have a special way with children and animals, but no need to possess any of my own. I feed the birds and squirrels and deer and I'm free of vet bills. There are children everywhere, including right next door, so I can spend time with kids pretty much whenever I want to. I've always thought that everybody was our child, our parent, our brother/sister/lover. I am, we are, part of the fabric that is the human community.

You're missing an important "will never have kids" option. That or you've got some typos on the third option.

I live with three kids, none of which are biologically mine. A six year old, a five year old and now a five day old.

I really like kids, i worked in child care for five years. But i have little desire to give birth to my own. I like parenting, even though it is often stressful and hard, i like raising them....but it really doesn't matter to me wether their 'biologically' mine or not......lots of people want their 'own' children but not me...i'd also like to adopt one day, not a baby, maybe a five or six year old, or siblings, they are harder to find homes for. I am the oldest of six and while my family is quiet strange i personally enjoy the way it feels to be around lots of family members.
And that's why i'd like a larger family of my own

I have one daughter. I don't think there will be more children in the future.
