I hope one day doctors can scan the brains of people with autism. This will lead to treatments.

And it could never be abused. Because we can trust doctors. Like we can trust the Government.

I hope someday we can use brain scans to diagnose narrow-mindedness. This will lead to treatments.

Ha, they tried it........and it just so happens the brain is so complex they can't quite pin down any mental disorders to anything specific you can see in the brain. Different things can cause the same symptoms. Not to mention some things they can see with different disorders are not things they can do much about other than prescribe meds that effect the brain functions.

I don't know what you mean by treatment. I have treatment for ADHD and that helps me but it doesn't cure me long term. I've often thought what it would be like to not have Autism but I just can't imagine my life any other way. It's not that I particularly enjoy being on the "inside out" as it were but I've managed to work around the difficulties that I'm faced with. It's really hard though and I don't think I'd wish it on anyone.

Maybe not. There are many autistics that don't see their autism as a problem in need of treatment.

Hey man you ain't an aspie and I can tell by the content of what you post. Aspire have enough problems to talk about without needing to get a quack suggestion.

Yes I am. I listen to The Kinks 24 hours a day and I don't need treatment or a pathetic cure. Are you Jenny McCarthy or one of her siblings by any chance?

Well I don't know their names (I never know names) but I like 'Dedicated follower of fashion', 'Sunny afternoon', 'Lola', 'Days' etc. you know, the usual ones from the 'best of' album. I don't really have a great collection of music but my ears tend to prick up at some tunes. :)
