I've slept 5 hours a night the past week or more.

I'm very tired but can't sleep. I'm panicked. I've taken more than the recommended dosage of the anti-anxiety pill clonazepam today and still nothing.

Feel dizzy and ill and sick to my stomach and just panicked, though not a full-blown intense attack, just a slow-burning bad anxiety that won't go away.

I feel able to lie still at least by 2 and turn off the light and lay there thinkingfor hours. I have bad dreams. I wake up lots of times before finally waking up at 6/7 and staying up all day pacing.

I don't know what section this was supposed to be in, I thought maybe the Haven but I thought that was more for emotional comfort? Whereas this is a medical concern I guess...

So tired, can't take another day of this horrid new insomnia.

Are you on medication that could be causing you problems? Mine used to like crazy. And still does. Did you forget to take a dose of something? That causes me some wild and crazy dreams. And not in a fun way either unfortunately.

I sleep an average of 3 hours in a row and maybe 2 additional hours broken up each night. It's almost like hell on earth. I am trying to find ways to pass the time and not go flipping nuts. UGGH..

So, maybe no real good advice, but comraderie.. I'm there for ya!

Oh thank thank you Lorna! No missed doses. If anything too much anxiety medicine but only cause it hasn't been as effective as usual.

I feel emotionally very bad and I think this set it off but I just hope it's not permanent, this insomnia. I've experienced it once in my life from medicine withdrawal. That's it. This is unprecedented.

I much appreciate your solidarity and understanding and I REALLY hope you get out of the no-sleep hell! I hope you haven't been experiencing it for too long.

This doesn't even belong in this section. It belongs in the haven. I want to obliterate myself. That's not a suicide threat. I just want to. I am worn down to the bone and I can't take any more. This grief, I can't take it, it's consuming me.

Sorry to hear that you're not doing well. :(

Not sure what to say, but I do hope you feel better soon.

I am panicking bad about school at the moment and am not able to sleep either. Is there something you could do to control your panicking? Like take your mind off what's bothering you and concentrate on other work to feel better? I've been trying to push the thought of upcoming exams out of my mind and concentrate on studying for them or do other things. I don't know if its helping me though, but I've not become a wreck or shutdown like I do sometimes.

Oh thank you syrella!

Pre10shun - Actually the extra medicine did eventually do the trick and I did fall asleep, so if you are having serious issues with not being able to sleep, I recommend you see a doctor and at least get a temporary prescription cause I know not being able to sleep due to worry/anxiety is horrible! I know the exams must be important to you but past a certain point as I'm sure you know the worry does no good and starts to harm, and that doesn't do you any favors, so yeah I highly recommend get a temporary anti-anxiety/sleep aid prescription! Anyway I'm sure you'll do great on the exams. :)

Oh I think I might have misunderstood and you ARE able to sleep, in which case, forget what I said! :) Yes I've been trying to focus on playing songs on the piano so I can play it tonight at an open microphone thing. Also just writing as usual. Thank you, that is good advice.

Ahh! Okay I read it again and you AREN'T able to sleep! So yeah, a temporary as-needed prescription is recommended by me!

Glad your medicine worked. I made an appointment with my doctor.
