yes all the time and I am not included it seems-even when I am with a group of other aspies when they should understand that a new person may need a little coaxing first until comfortable-but I guess I am looked at and deemed unworthy of getting to be known or included.

I always feel this way in a group. I can't process the conversation fast enough to participate.

Yes, of course. Not because I can't process the conversation, but because I find it so ridiculously inane and boring.

I felt this way in every social situation I was in until I was about 20. It was then when I learned how to speak up and take a more active role in conversations...I was always the insanely quiet kid who just stood there and listened while everyone else felt like they were part of the group.

This happens to me a lot, especially if most of the group are people that I don't know very well, or not at all..

I have used the term 'invisibilty' quite often in describing how I feel when I am an in a group of people over the years. When I am around 1 or 2 other people I feel normal but more than that I feel totally out of place and ignored.

Ditto this. It really is like im invisible, or almost like an intruder somewhere i dont belong. I am not too bad with, say 2 or 3 people, but any more, when everyone is trying to talk, i just kind of close down, let my mind wonder to other, quieter places.
