People are always asking me if I'm okay, even when I couldn't be happier. I think it's because my face is quite blank when I'm relaxed and not thinking about it, but I'm not sure what to do about that. My new step-siblings tell me they think I'm sad or frustrated when ask me if I'm okay, but I'm not. I would just say that I'm fine whenever people ask, but then they give me weird looks like I'm lying to them. What should I say when people ask me if I'm okay, and how can I get them to stop asking? Thanks :)

That happens to me too. I just say back, "I'm just chillin". Afterwards, they usually ask why are you so quite? My response is "that's just the way I am".

That seems like a good thing to say. I'll try that, thanks :)

I suppose you shouldn't be too bothered; At least people care enough to bring it up. Your avatar's where it's at, btw.

I hear this every day. You'd think my own family would know better by now.

That's a good point. At least people are concerned about me :D I'm glad I'm not the only one who hears this.

Thanks, I'm majorly into Yu-Gi-Oh at the moment ^.^ (I like a lot of shonen anime. I'm kinda odd that way for a girl.)

A girl that likes Yugioh; I knew they existed! Have you watched the abridged series at all?

I haven't yet, but I plan to soon. I'm currently watching the entire original series again since the first time around I didn't get to watch all the episodes. I'm somewhere in the 5th season at the moment :D

Same. But whenever my mom asks me that, she keeps asking what's wrong even if I keep telling her there's nothing wrong. It's like forcing me into a confession or something.

I get this a lot too, and all it does is make me LESS okay.

I don't know. Just tell them to mind their own business please.

I get the same thing, though usually from friends not family.

That's what I did all last summer. Watched all of GX and 5d's too. Good times. :D

I get that myself. I can only guess it's probably because I often don't bother to make facial expressions when I'm not talking to people, so I can look kind of blank.

My usual response is, "Yep, just tired." That is a good response in most cases because being tired is something people know can be easily fixed with a night of sleep, so they won't feel sorry for you; and it matches with the blank expression I often seem to have.

As time goes on, I get "Are you okay?" less often. I think I'm getting used to running the facial-expression subroutine. I have even caught myself making facial expressions when I'm talking on the phone, and the other person couldn't possibly see them. You do get used to it eventually.

You could do what I do, which is glare at them or give them the 1,000-yard stare.

Hmm...I wonder why nobody likes me...
