Just my thoughts:
The first tends to be "I know what I think you are, and you're so beneath me".
The second tends to be "What the heck are you going on about, I want you to go away"
My guess would be like SilentScream's:
Snobby aloof-ness involves not talking to someone, not accepting offers to do things with them, or ignoring their presence because you think you're better than they are.
But Aspie/ASD aloof-ness involves not talking to someone, not accepting offers to do things with them, or ignoring their presence because of things like:
Not knowing how to have a conversation, even if you want to talk to people.
Not knowing how to reply to a greeting, comment, or joke.
Not understanding what someone is saying or why.
Not realizing someone is talking to you.
Not understanding the point of joining activities that you have no interest in, or not understanding the activity.
Social anxiety.
Not acknowledging people because you don't notice your surroundings (i.e. you would acknowledge them if you noticed that they were nearby), or because you can't recognize faces.
