I am just curious if there are any HFA or AS adults here that have or had (as an adult) a service dog? Or are they almost always used exclusively for children? I don't have one, but I would like to get one.

If I get SSI next month, my back pay will go toward a service dog :)

I like the idea of having a service dog, and I'd get one if I could. I'd be able to have the dog in my apartment and that dog would be trained to help me.

I have a service dog that goes with me to my job as a professor. I tried to post a link to a story from NPR Weekend Edition that aired last Saturday. It is about me and my son and our service dogs. The forum won't allow me to post the link because I haven't posted enough items yet.

Perhaps you can find it by googleing the title of the story
