Sick of being treated as a CRIMINAL
I am sick of being treated as a criminal. Driving in London is a nightmare, since getting a car I have been fined 3 times. I live in fear of receiving a fine though the post whenever I cam home. The first one was giving a ticket outside of my own home( guess this was my own fault a bit because I miss read a parking hours as no parking (7am-7pm Monday to Friday Instead of Saturday). The other one was for jumping traffic lights, it would have been more dangerous to stop because the person behind could have driven up my as ass( I could not see very well behind because of sun glare) anyway it was all to quick. The hardest of all was going down a road Pancres Road NW1 because of “Failing to comply with a sign indicating a prohibition on certain types of vehicle”. The last one I really don’t agree with. How could I have seen this coming? The thing that annoys me the most is they don’t put points my licence but just give me a fine £100(£50 if I pay before 14 days and don’t appeal). I guess it is ok for the rich to do what they like.
It is though they think that I have such a disregard for the law that they only way to get to me is to fine me. Next time I go into London it is not the fear of crashing that is going to bother me.
Driving is not a right. If you don't like it, then in retrospect you should get out of your metal coffin and walk like humanity has been doing for so long. Never killed anyone before, and it's exceptionally hard to get fined for walking unless you're disrupting traffic or entering Area 51.

Voluntary? It is not. For why would I commit such an offence for? To get to my destination quicker, Sunday 9:38 after dropping a friend at the station? Ignorance of the traffic road signs. I have studied them like only like a geek can.
You have to ask yourself dude! What personal quality do you have that would make you avoid such a fine, while I would end up getting it, because I would like to know. I don’t know how things are in Ireland but in London if you make a wrong turn into a wrong road. Go into a bus lane or tram lane, or turn into a road only allowed for buses, that’s it you are fined. And do they put points on your licence? No, those types of offences are so easy to make, many people would end up losing their licences especially cabbies, so they just give you a fine instead.
There's police everywhere where i live, i remember comming into town once, and a cop stopped us for having mud on my moms lisence plate and he couldn't read it. other times she's been pulled over was for almost as stupid reasons like one of her tailights was out, and she actually got a ticket for it. its been my experiance that police will pull you over and stop you for the dumbest reasons, and just because they can.
I assume that you are American, do you think that this is very practical. Can you assume that I can walk that distance, 11.9 miles (19.1 km) precisely, with a potential girlfriend and bags of luggage? Do you also assume the there is public transport in my area and it would work out cheaper if I took it AND also do you assume that there is any public transport capable of getting me there at >> 9:38 morning Sunday << on time. If she missed that train, she would have to pay £75 one way train ticket From London (ST Pancras) to YORK (A flight to Turkey cost less then that).
At least it was a person you get to talk one-to-one with. I can understand why the policeman stop you. He was only pointing out to you the problems with your car that is not acceptable on the road; a license plate needs to be seen for legal reasons. A broken light can confuse other drivers and potentially create an accident. Without more information, I would not know why he unfairly gave you a ticket. I don’t know many people who would check all the working of their lights before commencing a journey, but as I said I would need more information to understand why he gave you the ticket.

The rest of humanity gets along just fine, and has for countless centuries. Stop complaining so much and stop violating traffic laws. If you don't like the lack of public transportation and expensive train fees, then move somewhere with public transportation and cheaper train fees. Hell, in America we have metros that are like clockwork and go most everywhere. You need to suck it up and obey traffic laws like everyone else in your neck of the woods does, because I highly doubt that the world is against you and your vital needs. Long story short, stop bitching because it makes you look petty.

dude your angry and cant see sense......if you volunteer to go ver the speed limit..ypou volunteer to pay the fine if your caught.
ive lived and worked in london, the cops thewre arent like cops in some sheat hole third world country.... the fines are voluntary cause you volunteer to break the law...the cops dont break the laws they enforce them
we all get tickets but we all get angry too.
5 years ago I had 2 incidents with Mall Security.
1st one was in April of 2001 where they stopped me asked me for I.D. and I showed it to them and I asked what the problem was.
They said a couple of girls said ya scared them and I said I did not intend to scare anyone, and he said ya did they claim ya kept going in and out of a store.
I said "I went into VF Factory Outlet then I went to Noah's Cove."
I showed the Ink Pen I bought at Noah's Cove and the receipt and got told me careful of that I was doing.
June of 2001 same Security Guard stops me and this time I get more defiant cause im still ticked about last incident and he asked if I live around here and I asked him why he wanted to know.
He said you know you're not suppose to be here and I said no one told me that (no one ever told me that and I was working at that Mall at the time anyways).
And he said the girls say you make them nervous and I told him if he didn't stop harassing me I was gonna get a Lawyer and I also told him I have Autism, so then I ran so I could go home and plan on planting a story in the Press (since I do have connections to the Press).
But then Security Radioed a Cop who stopped me, the Cop and I went across the Street into my workplace to comfirm where I work and the Cop radioed back saying it was confirmed that I work where I say I work.
Next I go home and well my Mom was visiting and I told her what happened and so me and my Mom went back to the Mall to file a Complaint, we found the Security Guard and apparently my Mom knew him from when she worked at a certain store in the Mall that later closed.
My Mom told him about me having Autism and he mentioned that the girls claimed I made them nervous only because I supposedly waved.
To this day I dunno where I waved at or who I waved to or what, but the last time I checked waving is not illegal in the United States, it's not illegal in the State of Michigan, it's not Illegal in my County and it is certainly not Illegal in my Town either.
The Security Guard told the girls he would let them know I have Autism and ya know what I hope they realize that this sort of thing was a waste of time cause Security could have been going after Shoplifters instead of going after me.
May God have mercy on their souls
Not going over the speed limit is easy dude, you see the car has a speedometer in the car if it goes over 35mph in a 30mph residential or city a speed camera could get you, despite most detecting you only if you go 11mph above the speed limit. I will never be cought by any speed camera.

I have also been stug here too, a small distance from where I live. How could call this voluntary. The only way I see it is Voluntery Profiteering for local councils. It is not the Metropolitan Police who sent me the fine, if they did they would also put points on my licence. It is local Council that did.
As I said if it is a criminal offence then they should put a point on my licence, Thus deterring rich people also, but that wouldn’t be good for business would it.
Their will always be places that give you are hard time. He was jostling you unfairly but it got sorted out by the policeman. I can tell you some of the situations I got in as an aspie. But at end of day, it gave me some lessons to learn of how to live in this NT world and they never fined me for my mistake.
What makes me angry is that more then half of all driving fines are issued by a kind of Shopping-Mall-Security( not the police), who can even set their own rate accordingly. Corydon council especially like treating innocent drivers as whipping boys.
I looked at my penulty ticket. It had a website of the cameras that took pictures of my car. It looks like a motocyclist and a blue cars have also f****d up. Maybe they thought it was ok to follow me.
Camdon council have created easy way to pay using the internet though. A machine detects the cars ,a machine takes the payment. The human is taken out of the loop nice and cheap.
Petty wining, I go through the nightmare of social situations spend most of the time making people angry without having the slightest idea why. I know that NTs have a much easier time in social situation then I do. I living in a world of Homer Simpsons telling you that you are not disciplined, considerate enough, hard working enough, and too rood. They think I am deserving of attack on my self esteem as punishment simply because they think it is the only way to get through to me. I have to simply brush myself down and get back in there, no petty winning. I can take unlimited hits on my self esteem. I obviously cannot take many fines because I cannot afford it. Imagine being fined for all the social situations that aspie people often make. DO WE VOLENTEER TO BE SHOUTED AT AND BULLED BECAUSE WE BREAK NT SOCIAL RULES.
Whenever I go into a social situation or even on the road, I DO SO WITH BOTH EYES OPEN. As I said it looks like the motorcyclist and the blue car behind me in same photo will also get a fine from Camden Council. http://www.doc.ic.ac.uk/~wjk/pcn.html
