What is (are) your interest(s) or obsession(s) and --IF you remember - what was your interest/obsession when you were a child ?

The Kinks and nobody can take that away from me.

Also, the Internet and Olympics.

Well I just switched to South Park, Hetalia, Ireland, Spain, vampires and still anything involving Jason Voorhees. Oh, and anthropology.

Current:
* Traditional (double edge safety razor and straight razor) shaving
* Various topics in computing (reverse engineering, virus analysis, Android development and internals, security in general)
* Baseball, in particular pitching technique
* Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (currently suffering withdrawls due to circumstances taking me away from class)
* AS (as I suspect many of you are too)
* Doug Stanhope
* Mixed Martial Arts

Childhood:
* Monty Python (later as well, but I've seen virtually all there is to see at this point)
* Space and the solar system, space exploration by humans, rockets and the space shuttle
* Encyclopedias
* BASIC programming
* Algebra
* Sports statistics, winners of various sporting awards and championships

Electronics and nuclear physics, at the moment (though, electronics has been lingering for a few years now, whereas nuclear physics is more contemporary).

mostly to be discussed on the adult forum. other than those things, i am really into my music, especially contrabass instruments such as the contrabass flute, contrabass clarinet, contrabass fipple flute [recorder], contrabass trombone, contrabass saxophone, wurlitzer theatrical pipe organs, the "toy counter" effects [percussions and SFX] of said organs, and high fidelity audio equipment.

I think my first special intrest/obsession was cats. Then it was a cartoon called Tiny Toon Adventures. My speical intrests have always been animal related.

My BIGGEST special intrest as a kid was Lion King. Which is the basis for my main obsession now. Meerkats. Other big special intrests was manatees.

Now as an adult my main special intrests are meerkats (duh), veternairy medicine, Sonic the hedgehog and Lion King.

Current Interests: Drugs and psychopharmacology, Neurology, Autism, and physics.

In rough chronological order: Trains, Dinosaurs, Skateboarding, Rap music (ugh), Ancient warfare (mainly Rome), Runescape, World of Warcraft, Computer programming, Guitar Hero (I could pass TTFAF on expert), Black Metal, Scandinavia, Economics.

We need a special interests sticky...

Trains, airplanes, progressive/classic rock, film music, war, military structure, guns/rifles, and The Space Race.

My current interests are with social revolution (encompassing social and cultural upheavals like the Sexual Revolution and Women's Liberation), the evolution of women's fashion, history in general, government affairs, historical cultural movements such as the Beatniks and the hippies, Disney, X-Men, and Sailor Moon.

Some of my interests when I was younger were drawing and writing stories.

Computers has been my obsession all my life.
Programming began at age 8 and is still going strong.

My main interest is anime. It has been a lifelong obsession for me. My favorite series at the moment are Tiger & Bunny, Nana, Fruits Basket and Ouran High School Host Club.

I have a secondary interest in Tim Burton's movies, which started last January. It waxes and wanes in intensity but never truly disappears. My favorite Tim Burton movies are Alice in Wonderland, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Sweeney Todd, Edward Scissorhands and Beetlejuice.
