Doesn't that sound like the opposite of someone with aspergers?

I get bored of routines after a while. Sometimes I love a change. An example is school life and home life. It gets boring after a while and I couldn't wait for a change to happen sooner. But then, after I settle in school or at home for a while, I get so bored. Its the same thing everyday.

Anyone here also love change and hate routine?

That doesn't sound the opposite of nobody. Some NTs prefer routine, some Aspies don't. It's more common in people on the spectrum to prefer a routine and live by it, so that they can be more prepared dealing with day-to-day things because we find it a little bit harder than NTs do, but that doesn't mean all NTs hate routine and love change. In fact, most people moan about change to me. When the bus service changed their times and altered the route, the passengers were moaning about it, and prefered the old routes better.

But some Aspies may get bored with routine. I prefer routine, but I sometimes get bored of it. That's why I left my volluntary job - I got a bit bored with it, and wanted to try something new.

I have grown to like change. It doesn't bother me as much like it used to. Routines I still love. I can't really function without them. I will tend to forget things if I go out of my routine. But I am not going to get upset if it changes. If there is too much change, then I feel anxiety. I always need to break it up to make it less stressful. Sometimes two new things is too much for me but at work I am paid to not mind it. Besides I am not given too much extra work. I never get bored with routine though it also changes too, not because I got bored with it. But even as a kid I would want something new after a while.

To answer your question, yes it does sound the opposite of AS.

Most people are terrified of change, because all they can see is what might go wrong...I go to the same pub all the time, in the same tiny town and just once I wish it would be worth it to go to another town and go somewhere completely new where nobody knows my name.

For me its not that I want routine so much as I want predictability.

I like to play video games with my morning coffee. It wasn't like that before a month or so ago. Eventually this will fade as I get tired of it.
So yeah. I like routines, but eventually I need something fresh. Otherwise, I stagnate, and that's not a good feeling.

I find I need routine to keep myself feeling calm. I like predictability. I however like to experience new things sometimes.

I love change when I'm the one who came up with it, which I'm always coming up with ideas but with executive dysfunction haven't gotten many of them off the ground.

I hate completely unnecessary changes like when websites change their formats for no reason.

Like Cracked. What a nightmare it is.

Predictability is my main desire as well. Spontaneous plans are a big no-no, as are plans that are changed at the last minute right when I've finally gotten used to them.

I like some changes, but dislike many others. Mostly I hate a lack of advance warning.

I like change when I have control over it.

I've grown to be Ok with change in my routine, but I still get upset when we planned on something and then we have to change it at the last minute.

What some people don't get is anything can become routine. If you developed a routine of moving alot even though you are rigid in certain areas, it becomes routine to change environments. If that routine is broken you feel off kilter.

When a routine has lasted so long that I feel awkward at the mere thought of changing it, I feel like I am not in control of myself so instead I challenge it by forcing myself to do something different. ESPECIALLY if a routine has lasted over 10 years. It feels liberating. These minor changes are something most people just gawk at but for me it takes courage.

I go for periods when I keep a routine consistantly but when I am in adventure mode I like it to be anything but a routine.....

Adventure mode comes and goes....
