Aspies - did you like your picture getting taken as a child? Even for an annual school photograph?

Experiences?

I hated it when I was preschool aged and below (I'm crying in some of the family portraits we have. I think I was scared of the flash).
I was ok with it when I got a bit older.

I've always felt uncomfortable getting my picture taken, and I especially did when I was younger. Even now I do to an extent. It just somehow seems awkward and I'm not very good at smiling just for pictures, and I have no sense of what looks good in a picture. I suppose I feel quite self-conscious too, so I think that's part of it as well.

I've always hated it, still do. Especially the school photographs, the photographer is always such a jerk.

I don't like posing. I can handle someone sneaking up on me and taking a picture but I absolutely WILL NOT pose for a picture even today unless I have to.

I usually hated it, but that was because I knew some NTs would try to make fun of it behind my back later on.

all my pictures were mine, and if any of them were taken, then i would have considered it to have been theft.

I only liked it if it was my mother or father taking a picture. Anyone else and they were going to have to put up with a fighter. I was er really good at playing dead in the middle of poses.

I did not / do not like it. If I could not /cannot clown or get out of it I went / go stone face inscrutable.

Pretty mujch ditto in my wife.

My sister almost always refuses - as a child would usually turn her back on the camera. As an adult, if caught would glare.

I loved getting my picture taken, as a kid. I loved the flash.

Candid shots I had no problem with. If the photo captured me just being myself, doing what I normally do, I never had a problem with that. I absolutely despised posed photos of myself and still do. The odd thing is, I don't mind taking posed shots of other people.

Guess I'm a hypocrite.

No , and it sometimes escalated into fight with my mother.

And I looked sad when I now look at my early school pictures, and I recall for two years (4th & 5th grade) some kid couldn't wait for the 'class photograph' to be released and would poke fun at me about my facial expressions and would try to get the entire class involved to laugh about it.

I've always been alright with it, not camera shy at all.

I hated it. I don't like it much now, but I can tolerate it.
