What does it mean if they give you a sensory profile survey?

I know the title is Adolescent/Adult Sensory Profile (Brown & Dunn, 2002)
The doctor said that I have Aspergers, but I am not sure whether that counts.

This was for some occupational therapy thing.

Does this mean that they already diagnosed me or are they still trying to figure it out?
Have you seen that questionnaire before?

All I know for sure is that it means that they're trying to find out if you have sensory processing problems. I filled out a Sensory Profile questionnaire for occupational therapy...I think it was referred to in my diagnosis but wasn't actually part of the assessment process to see if I had autism.

I couldn't say whether or not it had anything to do with giving you a diagnosis--could you ask the person who had you fill out the sensory profile?

the sensory profile is to measure hyper/hypo sensitivity; which is a common co-morbid with autism, but a different, possibly stand-alone, diagnosis...

It would be very relevant for occupational therapy, as sensory issues are an area that occupational therapists intervene with.
