I was born with very curly hair, and I've always hated it and wanted straight hair. I had finally begun to accept my curly hair until multiple people have commented that I look 13-15 rather than almost 20 and that my curly hair makes it worse. People guess my age better when my hair is straightened. But the problem is that my poor coordination and Asperger's makes it difficult for me to properly straighten my own hair. It is very important to me that I look my age because I want a partner and don't want to be mistaken for a child/below the age of consent while in public, and/or attract creeps who think I'm a kid.

Please help.

I wouldn't worry about it. If you look younger than your age is always a good thing.

Maybe dress older (assuming you don't already)?
I know wearing graphic tees make someone look younger

I also have curly hair, but balding took the youthfulness right out of it. I wouldn't recommend this if you can avoid it.

+1, I actually started going bald at the age of 16.

I've seriously considered shaving my head recently. I still might do it. f*****g hair, so annoying. My suggestion is to cut it short or find another un-childish way of wearing your hair....gotta be something better than straightening it. Maybe simple things like well-placed hair barrets/clips, or a headband? Those are my go-tos seeing as, well, I have short hair and can't do much else with it right now.

Oh yeah, put a bookbag on me and I still manage to look 15. I've been mistaken for being in highschool more than once this past year (no, I wasn't hanging out near a school or wearing a backpack either), and I get carded when I buy alcohol.
