This summer, I have an internship at Stennis Space Center in Mississippi. I am from Massachusetts, so it is quite a distance. The internship is going to be a lot of fun and being away from home for 10 weeks will be a good way to break out of my comfort zone. I can imagine that I am going to want to keep busy while I am down there. I think this will be a great opportunity to meet new people as well. I was wondering if anybody who lives or is staying in the area would be willing to meet up this summer and maybe explore the area? I will probably be staying somewhere from New Orleans, LA to Gulfport, MS, depending on what is available.

Unfortunately I live in Lafayette right now but New Orleans has lots to do. I recommend checking out Audubon zoo and the aquarium. The French quarter is cool too. I also like Crepes a la cart for breakfast and the crawfish is amazing too! Also try blackened alligator if you can find it. Yum.

Thanks for the suggestions. Those sound like fun things to do. I am not sure if I am brave enough to try alligator, hehe. I wouldn't rule out heading up to Lafayette during a weekend.
