I've never had a seizure before in my life, but I keep thinking I'm just going to have one out of the blue one day. Can this happen, for no reason? I know some people can have one from a bladder infection, or low blood pressure, or things like that (I know someone who did). But I'm scared that I'm going to suddenly break out in a fit when out in public or something, for no reason.

I keep feeling dizzy and light-headed lately. I'm not on no drugs or anything, and I eat and sleep fine. A couple of hours ago I felt like I was about to see stars, then I quickly came out of it - then my ears popped. So I'm wondering (and hoping) it's just due to my ears, because I do have a lot of trouble with them (I actually have a sinus infection at present).

I keep worrying about it. Can one just develop Epilepsy if it's not in the family, or if I never had a fit before?

no one has it in my family but when i mentioned the same symptoms to my neurologist he sent me off for a brain scan to rule out epilepsy. I have to get my brain scanned tomorrow.

Sounds more like anxiety/panic to me. But if you're worried, go speak to you doctor and get checked out.

Probably you should go see a doctor.

I have no idea how a seizure coming might feel, but I do have an idea that one can come without any warning at all. There are some service dogs who are prized because they can sense something that humans can't sense themselves, and warn their masters that one is going to happen in time for them to get out of precarious positions and lie down.

It doesn't need to run in the family. I know people can get epilepsy from a brain injury.

Might be a warning of a fainting spell, or something else, rather than a seizure.

See a doctor.

Well I survive hot weather without feeling one bit faint, so it's not like I could be prone or anything.

I have actually got a full-blown ear infection now, so I hope it's that. I'm going up the doctors about the ear infection, so I will ask them about it then.

Cheers.
