I do not have strong synesthesia like Daniel has but I recently noticed something. I expereinced a load noise and I noticed that that light level seemed to change. I was in a room where the light level could not have changed suddenly. I think that my hearing got linked to the "exposure controls" on my eyes. If my pupils had changed size suddenly this might have accounted for the change in brightness.

Diagnosed under the DSM5 rules with autism spectrum disorder, under DSM4 psychologist said would have been AS (299.80) but I suspect that I am somewhere between 299.80 and 299.00 (Autism) under DSM4.

Your a professor? :)

Also I think I know what you mean, I'm trying to find a link between AS loud noises and epileptic acoustics... but all i have for research is introspection and a ton of articles describing epilepsy due to light only.

Why is it that Daniel Tammet firstly introduces himself as HFA, but now he is classified as aspergers?

is aspergers the term used for Autism spectrum disorder that are closest to appearing NT?

as in, if you were once autistic or severe aspergers, do you transcend into having mild aspergers?

I know first hand and in reading, that Autism is impossible to cure in any form, unless heavily drugged and conditioned etc.

No synthanesia, but I really enjoyed reading his book, Born on a Blue day, and I hope to read it again sometime.

For me, let me tell you about the notes on a piano. To me, the high notes of a piano are grapes, and the low notes are the grates of a wood-burning heating stove. The Boeing name in passenger jets are Fords, Douglas (DC-10s, etc.) are Chevrolets, and Lockheed (Tristars) are Chryslers. Fords, for example, are blue to me. Chevrolets are red. And Chryslers are yellow or green. However, I have an old yellow Mustang which is a Ford---but Fords still seem blue to me. I have certain feelings for many things that are seemingly impossible for me to explain. This often happens with houses. I just find it incredibly difficult to try to explain my feelings for them. But I have plenty of feelings for them. There are other things like this for me too.
