Is anyone else obsessed with boats?

I want to get a job on a steamboat on the Mississippi. Whether I'm steering to port or starboard, rowing in the yawl, throwing out the buoy or navigating the shoals by using landmarks, it all appeals to me.

No I can't help sorry. I'm obsessed with buses.

Oh bother. Not buses. They're horrible.

Hopefully I'll be able to buy my own boat one day. Either that or a sports car.

I love boats but I'm not an expert. Can I get extra points for marrying two sailors? That would be so cool to work on the Mississippi.

I like ferry boats, but I only know about them in relation to one of my own interests, Toronto Island. I'm not obsessed with all boats, just the ones that get me to the island.

I like boats, but I am not obsessed with them. At Grand Teton National Park, there is a boat that crosses a lake to take people to a waterfall trail. Three people operate the boat - the driver, the person who gets off at the dock to dock the boat, and the third person who apparently does nothing. I want to be the third person on the boat.

I am obsessed with yachts.

I have intest in seasteading. Building cities that float on the ocean seems to appeal to me. It's like building cities on many flat hex shaped boats.

I drove semitruck for 2 years and from that I have a strong affinity and interest with all transportation industries from trucks, airplanes, trains, and all kinds of freight ships or inland river tow boats.



I applied to some inland river barge apprenticeships but never heard back from them.

I bet $10 none of you has the courage to jump on board a boat and be a stowaway.

I bet you ten bucks I would never do something soooo stupid and illegal.

I'm ok with short ferry rides, but long boat rides make me claustrophobic. I'd rather stay on land. Funny thing is I don't feel that way about airplanes though. Just boats.

So no, I wouldn't stow away on a boat for a measly $10.

Are you kidding, $10.00 is nothing for something like jumping a boat and being a stow-away. Now if it was $1,000,000.00 and I knew you were serious and actually had that kind of money and there was a signed written legal contract, I might think about it.
