A buzzkill is a person who takes all the fun and joy away from other people. Dose having Aspergers mean that NTs see us as buzzkills? Like imagine, If we were to hear very loud music, we tell NTs to lower the volume which tells them that were buzzkills. Oh what about the fear of breaking the rules that some NTs wants us to break like egging or TP someones house? It can also mean a buzzkill. Mabye a bad joke or a random topic that will trigger an NTs alarm. Like sometimes if we do anything NTs still picture us as total buzzkills!

The degree to which NT's have killed my buzz is far greater

You dont see NT's suffering stress related disorders like us, now do you?

I've just had my buzz killed by one of my NT peers two weeks ago, yesterday to a far greater degree that I'm capable of killing anybody else's buzz. My buzz was killed so badly that I was convinced that I was crossing over from The Kinks to The Beatles but that all straightened itself out, today and that's not the case.

Someone told me once I always looked like I expected something bad to happen. I'm no fun to be around if you're the type to do stupid, impulsive things.

This isn't an aspie thing. Not to say there aren't comorbids and whatnot that explain it, but the loud music example isn't aspergers, it's oversensitivity.

Also the fact that mindless hooliganry should be shunned for more reasons than just "it's the rules." I enjoy the buzz from breaking rules, but only if they're rules that should righteously be broken. I tend to avoid people that engage in stupidity, but I can still have a pretty damn good time breaking some bs rules.

I'm pretty sure the question REALLY is, are smart thoughtful people huge buzzkills to stupid ignorant people? And yep. Definitely yes.

I like being the buzzkill to lame Entie ideas by pointing out where their ideas are based on assumptions, delusions, prejudices, or just plain nonsense. the Sales & Marketing group is reluctant to invite me to their presentations, but since I am the lead production engineer, they have to. They've even begun to circulate "Bingo Cards" with my top 24 arguments on them, from "That violates the laws of Physics" to "Evidence, Please?".

I used to ruin my mom's stories regularly. Not on purpose, per say, but because I'd feel an overwhelming need to point out the inaccuracies. Eventually I learned that she was a much better storyteller than I am and that exaggeration is the key. Even though it still bothers me when she does it, I try not to say anything.

I agree. Thinking usually kills the NT buzz. They often don't consider the consequences of their actions and when we point it out we are being rude somehow. I never consider facts rude, but whatever. :?

I see this as saving their hearing, making sure they don't get arrested, and them being silly and not understanding a joke. You're not a buzzkill, they just like self damaging things and have no sense of humor.

Yes - and no. I do think Aspie logic is usually a buzzkill to NT's, my friends always referred to me as 'Gloom and Doom' or 'Worry Wart' when I would always point out the possible dangers of whatever dumb thing we were up to at the time...

But, NT's are a bigger buzzkill to me because they don't tend to want to learn anything - the biggest high I get from life is expanding my mind, knowledge is just so awesome and rewarding. NT's very nearly turned me against the world and everything in it because of their inability to think for themselves. It makes me sad, but I always have myself to rely on, and that is a blessing.

Sheeple (NT's) are the biggest buzzkills on Earth.

I agree I kill NTs Buzz by stating logic, honesty, reason and commom sense. NTs just dont get it they get rather aggressive and start abusing me a calling me names and imitate me.

My mom accuses me of being negative, of depressing her.
Oddly enough, she has the same effect on me.
