In Dungeons and Dragons, all characters are assigned an alignment, which suggest the types of decisions they would make in various situations. My opinion is that Asperger's syndrome is better theorized as one of these than as a neurodevelopmental disorder, and that alignment is lawful neutral. Those with a lawful alignment are bent towards the opposite of chaos: order, symmetry, structure, process, system, rules, and even a very much autistic rigidity. I say neutral instead of good or evil because of our naturally limited interest in the affairs of other humans; thus we do not subscribe to the Manichean drama.

This test will help you determine your own alignment.

Lawful good = obsessive-compulsive disorder
Lawful neutral = Asperger's syndrome
Lawful evil = sadistic personality
Neutral good = borderline personality
True neutral = schizophrenia
Neutral evil = narcissistic personality
Chaotic good = histrionic personality
Chaotic neutral = attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder
Chaotic evil = psychopathy

I don't know anything about D&D, other than that I watched some friends play it one day and somehow they made me a "fourth-level cleric mage." This was perhaps ten years ago and I really don't know what that means.

However... I will say that my alignment on the quiz was indeed Lawful Neutral.

It surprised me - I didn't really think I had answered in a neutral manner; in fact, I couldn't even see any neutral options. Perhaps my positives and negatives balanced.

I'm in between Lawful Good, Lawful Neutral, and Chaotic Good.

This test is supposed to be in the context of a a "typical" D&D setting, whatever that means. This was a really short test, and my personal answers to a couple of the questions would depend on the "setting." I tried it both ways and got either Lawful Good, or Neutral Good, but the Neutral good description seems to fit me better.

The closest thing to a D&D RPG I've ever played is the Baldur's Gate computer game. I usually play as Neutral Good.

Lawful neutral.

When I played DnD I liked chaotic neutral, but what teen doesnt think they are a rebel? Near the end lawful neutral appealed to me.
