This afternoon, on a whim, I spent a considerable amount of money on scrapbooking materials (paper, glue, stamps, scissors etc), deciding that I wanted to keep a record of my life. I have heard that it can be theraputic.

Then I got home and realised I don't do anything that's worth keeping a record of. I don't have photos, or concert tickets, or anything like that, because I don't attend social events. I don't have train tickets, because I don't go anywhere. I am very uncreative, so can't sketch or doodle.
I am at a loss of what to write about.

Any ideas? :?

I got a scrapbook once at a yard sale and I didn't have anything to put in it either. How about interesting newspaper clippings of if you have a printer things you found amusing on the internet?

I barely leave the house. I have nothing to put in either.

Why not keep record of major thoughts, questions and small curiosities about news, new or on-going thoughts you have about familiar people and strangers, as well as bits and pieces of conversations and discoveries instead?

I read that scrapbboking is one of the most common hobbies in the USA but in Poland I never heard about scrapbooks and scrapbooking materials being available in stores here, really. I do believe I read on the net about people in Poland doing this, I read about this on blogs presentings examples of scrapbooks made by the owners of the blogs, but I never saw such things in stores - maybe if I lived in a bigger city, I could find it, I don't know myself, I just never anything like that on the shelves of any store in my town.

I once wanted to start one though, after I read about L. M. Montgomery's scrapbooks, it must have been a couple of years ago, but I resigned really very soon. I just prefer to keep my souvenirs box instead - there are such things in it I wouldn't be able to glue to the pages of any potential scrapbooks for they are either too big or it would mean the necessity of damaging them. So I have just my box, my dream diary and my regular diary instead.
