I hate polo necks. I normally like the pressure that tight clothes bring with them, but if that pressure is around my neck I feel like I'm choking. I wore a polo neck a few hours ago and took it off after about 15 mins because I couldn't stand it. I still feel like it is on my neck. :(

I don't wear those. I can't stand having anything pressed against my neck.

I dislike any collar that even makes contact with my neck. It feels tighter than it really is, and distracts me utterly.

Maybe, but I was kind of thinking this was a sensory thing, therefore linked to AS.

I wear them by default. That way, I don't risk having the straps of my sports bras showing.

Shirts with polo necks are pretty much all I wear.

Don't like anything round my neck at all, I don't usually wear jumpers/sweaters either as I find pulling them on quite claustrophobic.

I love polo neck shirts. I wear them from time to time. :)

Can't STAND anything touching my neck, clothing or otherwise. Never could.

Especially anything touching my throat.

Hate...I can't stand anything tight, and around the neck it's worse.

No turtlenecks, ever. Only mock.

I don't want _tight_ necks, but don't have a problem with anything loosely touching my neck all around. I can take up at least 3" of slack with my fingers in my current light jersey turtleneck (not nearly long enough to come up over my head and still have the shoulder on my shoulder) before it gets even mildly uncomfortable. Maybe your problem is with necks that don't fit properly rather than the style of neckline per se?

So polo necks are turtlenecks? I hate turtlenecks. I can't wear them. I feel like the scarabs from "The Mummy" are eating away at my neck. I think they look bad too.
