NT vs. Entie

Am I the only person who can't take "Entie" seriously when someone uses that because of thinking of a little kid talking to/about a giant-tree-man?

I saw the thread title and was going to post something about the ent wives were missing so there aren't any "enties".

Scary that I got what you meant without reading your post.

Definitely, my first thought is giant tree-man.

This is awesome, I also clicked on your thread just to make a comment on how funny this "entie" word is... it's only the second time I see it and wanted to ask if it was becoming a trend

Well young ents are entings, but it seemed to me like its how a young kid who likes adding the -y or -ie sound to words would talk about their favorite ent/entwife/enting.

As I am a very visual thinker: "Entie" reminds me on "Ente", which is German for duck. Guess what comes unwillingly and with no intention to be mean up in my mind when I read "Entie"...

I think on another thread I made a joke that Enties are the children of Ents, but there are no children because they can't find the Entwives.

Someone else pointed out they weren't called "Enties" though.

I've read many posts here where people say NT. One day I read one that said Entie, and I was like "What's that?" I said it to myself, and I was like "Oh, NT" I'm quite annoyed with Entie too, it just doesn't seem right to me. Like when people leave the "e" off "Aspie" and spell it "Aspi" it just doesn't seem right. I think of Entie and Aspi being names of people or places, not NT and Aspie.

Well, it is appropriate; they do take unnecessarily long to say very simple things.
