The one where a person helps autistic, schizophrenic, or other mental disability, <- people who have these illnesses. Usually ones who have these jobs go to the disabled person's house or elsewhere. Also, what must someone study to do this?

I usually hear it reffered to as 'care worker' maybe mental health care worker would be the full title. Or support worker.

I'ts general BBCode, created using a BBCode creator and tweaked for the Wrong Planet software. I use it to differentiate from my own comments, a reading and reviewing aid to compensate for reading and comprehension disability, it compliments the alternating post comment colours as well..

Mental health counselor is what the job was called in Massachusetts when I did it in the 80's.

Personal Care Assistant? They do the same kinda things a nurses aide does, like help you shower, dress and eat. Some may do your laundry, cook meals, housecleaning and take you to run errands. It all depends on the level of help you need.

I think you'd only need to do a cert III or IV level course in disability services at community college. Would take about 12 months to do full time.

In UK, it's care assistant or support worker. Am applying for a lot of those jobs atm!
