Are you on a long-term search for that environment or group of people where you will fit right in?

There are some groups that are generally accepting of others, and friendly, but offer little more beyond that. For example, hippies.

I have yet to find a group that is more consistently intellectual without being snobby. (or anything else like that)

No, I am actually not on any search for a group of people to fit in with. I am happy having my family and my interests. I do not desire friends.

Hahaha i do tend to find that I do not fit in with any 'entire' group! I do, however, find that I will fit nicely with one person in every group :P Consequently none of my friends know each other cause I have one from school, one from uni, one form work, one from my sport, one from church etc etc :P

But i do, for the most part find certain people groups more accepting then others - for one I have a great church where most of the people I chat to are fantastic :D (but i still just have one or 2 favourites ;) ), also as said above hippys are some of my good friends :) (im a bit of a hippy myself so i feel quite comfortable around the artsy folk - that and they dont generally follow social norms themselves ;) ), 3rdly men - i tend to find men are FAR less demanding on social norms and also they are more straight forward and less likely to play word games with you. And finally the last group of people I tend to fit in well with are people who are gay - dont ask me why :P hahaha i just tend to find they are more accepting of quirks, be it cause they know what it's like to be on the outer themselves or what i do not know, but they just seem to be easier going :)
