I can lose a train of thought within seconds. I'll be online and I'll see something that triggers an interest. I plan to Google the subject but if I don't exit the page I'm on right then, I will forget what I wanted to look up.

When that happens to me, I retrace my steps hoping to see what it was that made me think I needed to get the object or do. Then I have to repeat it in my head over and over.

How can one forget his head if it's always attached to his body?
*badum-CHING*

The way I keep from losing things is to keep every single object I own in its own designated spot. If my keys are not in my purse, they are on the floor next to the couch. My credit card stays in my pouch next to my I.D. and only gets taken out for transactions.

I do that constantly. When go out to the pantry (in the garage) I have a 1 in 3 chance of coming back with what I intended to get.

I keep my keys with my wallet and other things that I want to be sure that I don't leave the house without. I.e. guess I've had the opposite problem -- went to the store and picked up items but left the bank card/money at home. Oops.
