with a conflict of beliefs.

I was just wondering if anyone here had any supernatural experiences, or believes in it?

I personally strongly believe in Paranormal and supernatural. I think spirits walk this earth, and there is an afterlife.

I am interested to know what other people on this board think about the supernatural, and possible reasons.

The answer is yes, to both questions.

When I was a child, I saw shadows, like people moving. It was only occasionally, and out of the corner of my eye, but it was often enough to scare me quite a bit.

I have seen shadow-like beings more recently, as well, and have also seen more clear "spirits." Two of them were in the basement of one of our dormitory houses, one was a little girl, who chased after a ball, and the other was a girl about my age, who turned around, smiled at me, and faded into thin air.

A few of my family members also strongly believe in the supernatural. My great grandmother on my father's side was a midwife and a healer, and I think that my aunt and her daughter take after that tradition somewhat. My cousin has had numerous encounters with spirits, some of which were much more frightening than my own experiences.

If this is relavant to the thread, I believe that there is alien life out there in the universe, and that they actively seek people here on earth for study.

I had an experience in march 1994. One night I was lying in bed, the time on my clock radio was 5 pm. The next time I looked at it, just moments later it read 7pm. I was baffled by it, and thought my clock was malfunctioning, but every other clock in the house was also at 7pm.

And I know for a fact that I didn't fall asleep for 2 hours since I never fall asleep just-like-that.

I scanned my memory and I could not account for those two hours of my life that went missing.

Are you sure about this Scoots? Isn't it possible you just slept through it? I've had the opposite experience, thinking about something convoluted for what must have been hours, but when I looked at the clock, only a few minutes had passed. Then, once noted, it happened again, frequently; the human subconscious does not work at the same rate as the conscious, and clocks are a conscious invention.

As for spirits, the after life etc. Sure, I'll buy that...just as soon as I see some concrete evidence (which aint happened in the last fifty years of my experience!).

I'm not sure if I was just imagining it, but this weird thing happened to me one time. I had the house to myself, and I was sitting in front of the computer. Then all of the sudden I...I guess you could say I sensed something. It's very hard to describe, and it scared the living daylights out of me. Whatever it was, it sort of walked around me, and then it left.

I've seen 3 ufos at a night sky.

And I'm beginning to see people, out of the corner of my eye, that dissapear, when looked direct at. Sometimes I can describe their apperance, and the clothes they wear. Often I think there's a living person walking past me, untill it dissapears. It doesn't frighten me. I believe I'm developing a gift.

I had an out of body experience as a child, (I was about 7) at the dentist. I was given laughing gass. Suddently I found myself, looking down at the dentists working on me. I was of course amaced. I didn't understand why they didnt notice me, floating above them, by the seiling, like a helium balloon. So I assumed they were used to this, and that this was normal. I remember looking at my hand, and it was transparent!. I thought, Oh so this must be, what it's like, being a ghost. lol! I was very light, though I looked the same. I slowly floated back into my body, when they were finished. I didn't tell anyone, 'cause I figured it was normal! lol.

Thanks for your contributions, It's interesting to read about other peoples experiences with the supernatural and Paranormal.

I've seen 2 UFO's.

On was a giant orb that disappared after 10 seconds, I yelled for dad, but when he got there it was gone.

The other was like 2 side by side satelites slowly moving across the sky. It wasn't a plane, satelite or meteor as it stopped, moved really fast the other way and then vanished.

Dad doesn't believe in the supernatural, I don't know why, either he is closed minded or something happened that he wants to say isn't real.

As for the missing time on the clock, it is possible to fall into a phase of sleep that is like being awake, similar to sleep walking (I think) where you see your dreams as real. I wouldn't rule out the possibility of abduction, as I know people that have had really strange things happened.

What I described in my first post I didn't think of as a person. I thought of it as a thing. I still don't think it was a human, or was, if it was a ghost.

Maybe an animal spirit?

I can't say for sure, but I know when the clock read 7pm, I didn't feel like I had just woken up.

I do not believe in the supernatural. I actually would like too but without any proof I can't.

I think that's the case for alot of people, The phrase "seeing is believing" is very true. I don't think I have seen anything supernatural. I am open to it, as I believe alot of people truly can see them, and members of my family have seen things.

Alot of people think cats have alot of supernatural powers, like seeing Angels and spirits.

I saw a photograph once of a cat that was staring at "apparently" nothing, and when the photo was developed it had a spirit of another cat where it was staring.

My cat often looks at nothing, or just above people, and once followed apparently nothing right around the room with her eyes.

Some might call me stupid for believeing alot of what I read and see, *shrugs*

I experience that sometimes too! Time flys and you don't remember anything between those hours!

One time, an entire night just flew by in just a few minutes. I was seven, I think.

I took a ghost hoax photograph like that once on a disposable camera. It was at camp in the dining hall. I took a photo of this girl who was sitting across the table from me, but I smeared sour cream over part of the lens (so it looked like there was a "ghost"). I haven't got it developed yet, but when I do, I'm curious which "ghost" it will be! (I put smears on all three of the clear things on the camera.)
