I feel like I'm immune to manipulation, even when it's for my own good. I can only be affected by totally pure motives.

Yes, sometimes, if I care about the person. But the usual case is that I either don't pick up on it or I don't give a flying crap about what they want from me, honestly.

When I was younger I was manipulated many times although I didn´t know it. I just thought that it was normal behaviour among friends and since I was (and still am in a way) a loner I wanted to have friends. But now as I have gotten older I understand how mean they really were.

I've had MAJOR issues with this in business. I've had to become more and more careful the higher up the ladder I get. I've recently suffered some serious set backs due to this. Oddly, the one fella that was the worst manipulator and liar wasn't the issue, he was so obvious, to me anyway, that I was pretty readily able to bust him as nothing he said was ever consistent and he wasn't able to evoke the comradery in me that he counted on to get what he wanted. It was the mostly guys who were more passive aggressive types, just constant agitators, the ones who sneak around, whisper, plant doubts, slowly and quietly erode authority, want to debate every point and just wear you down. Suddenly they've used quiet social skills and bureaucratic ability to make you a stranger in your own home.

It's like having a blindside that you know you have, but can do very little about.

I don't feel that I've ever been "manipulated" by NTs—I'm in my own little world, so it's difficult to make me do or be anything I don't want to. But, I have been tricked and lied to by NTs in order for them to get what they wanted. I've learned not to get drawn into other people's drama, which is where problems would occur.

I don't know really. I act like I'm manipulated because I don't like to argue, but inside I still haven't agreed.
