Hi guys,

I'm compiling a book that details people's struggles with autism, OCD, aspergers, the like. If anyone has a story of theirs to share, that would be great! Thanks!

Just go to: http://www.autisticpoet.com/submit-your-story.php

I really appreciate it!

Mine are depressing and not for someone else to make a profit from. Would you like us to type it out for you or contact the publisher while you sit back and collect the money? Write your own stories. :P

What kinds of stories? About diagnosis, about a time we've made a social mistake, what? I think with your given audience you might get more replies if you give some more information.

Done. Mine is about being kept in the dark, and being compared to other Aspies (okay, one other Aspie - Gabrielle)

EDIT: Kept in the dark, metaphorically, that is. :D

Yes, I would make money from it, but it would be a VERY minimal amount once you subtract all the expenses ($2,000+) it takes to self-publish a book. Plus, once I am done putting it all together, I am going to have people on here vote for what charity they want 20% of the profits to go to. Also, I have written my own book, called "Inside Out: Stories and Poems from an Autistic Mind". It took a lot of hard work and you can learn more about it at http://autisticpoet.com.

And in response to astaut's question:

Any type of story will do (success, failure, against-the-odds, etc), as long as it relates to a mental disability.

And thank you CockneyRebel and NZaspiegirl016 for your submissions! :)
