I had a habit of rubbing my palms on the steering wheel when I drove the truck. I didn't know why I'd gotten onto that particular thing; it just seemed to be a random selection. The other day, I put a squishy microfiber cover on it to keep it from getting too hot in the sun or cold during wintertime. Now I find I only fiddle a bit with the spot on the back where there seems to be a crease in the foam underneath that won't go away. (Too bad I didn't notice that when I bought it. That sort of thing often happens when I buy stuff.) I think the vinyl of the wheel was irritating me, and I didn't even realize it. The soft cover seems to be giving me relief, so I'm certain an irritating skin sensation was the cause of the palm rubbing. Now I only need to get used to steering a wheel that feels so much bigger in my very small hands. The crease annoys me, but it's minor, and at least I know why I'm messing with it. More good news: I succeeded in getting the seem of the cover lined up right in the center of the bottom of the wheel.
