My nephew has been dx with ADHD, ODD, CD (conduct disorder) Personally disorder and social phobia. He has been told that with the above he doesn't meet the criteria for a disability disorder.
Which means he cannot applied for disability payment I always find it hard to understand so many different diagnosis that they don't fit into a box so to speak. He has lots of traits for Aspergers and we have a family history of schizophrenia, AS and bi-polar.
He is unable to get support because the Psychiatrist maintains he does have any mental health problems.
They have prescribe him RISPERDAL twice daily, morning and night.
Wow, he sounds like he has a lot of difficulties.
One of the frustrating things is that it's easier to qualify for disability on the basis of depression and anxiety than it is on the basis of autism or ADHD even though both of those can be as or more disabling than depression or anxiety.
