Living in the moment, and accepting that what is, is, and that our negative reactions are simply our brains responding to the fact that reality isn't what we wish it would be or expected it to be. That helped me in accepting change in routine, dealing with black-and-white thinking, taking criticism, etc. The two weeks I meditated multiple times per day were, hands down, the most clear-headed, relaxed weeks of my life. I lost the motivation/concentration when my work stress started up again, but I really would like to get back to it as it was unbelievably helpful.

^^^^ all of this. Google "Mindfulness Meditation" for more...it changed my life due to my adoption of these principles.

This misdiagnosis caused me significant stress, which lessened upon finding out the truth about myself from my current and past long-term therapists - that I am an anxious and highly sensitive person but do not have an autism spectrum disorder.

My diagnoses - social anxiety disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

I’m no longer involved with the ASD world.

If the Autie or Aspie has stock invested in Pfizer or GlaxxoSmithKline, they will reap monetary benefits off human misery.

[edit: whoops! I completely misread the title as "how can medication help aspies. wow. bad joke falls flat on face, yet again. need to goto thread about dyslexia]

I find that both meditation & Yoga help me focus better and be more aware of things around me.
