First don't say you have Autism unless asked, I think. I don't think most people really care, and most probably don't understand it. Are you trying to make friends online?

There are probably going to push you around just as much if you tell them. Is the yes towards "Are you trying to make friends online?"

Well there could be several thing that repel them or make them not take you seriously, and I don't mean to be rude and I know you might not be able to control this, but they might be turned away by your poor grammar. People do not take people with poor grammar very seriously online, unless its an informal conversation in chatspeak. Maybe you could try slowly yourself down and thinking harder over how what you write would appear to other people.

Well I wouldn't get over it but considering how many bad spellers there are online you should be able to find some people that don't care about that.

I've found this forum to be a nice place.

I was just offering one possible explanation. Yes, chances our you will find it easier to make a friend online here than in the "wilds" of the Internet.

What type of online sites have you tried to make friends on?
I think the best way to go is to find people who have the same interests of you. People can tell when you're being needy too and don't like that.

I struggled to make friends on other forums. Only on this forum, an ADD one and a band fan forum have I been able to make some friends.
People can be pretty nasty on forums even when you say you're autistic.

Poor grammar/spelling online does not bother me. I'm mildly surprised if it would bother many people.
