I am thirteen years old, and my parental units arranged my first 504 Plan this year. I had no part in the creating of the plan, but I feel the current one is not extremely helpful. The current plan states that if I am too stressed, I can remove myself from the situation. It also states that I can use pen for all assignments, and a school administrator must fill in my answers on standardized tests (I have some sensory issues with pencils). Lastly, I am allotted additional time on standardized tests. I feel it may not address all issues. I have a few possible additions in mind, but would like an abundance of generic aspie 504 suggestions. So, I ask of you to placate me with said suggestions.
-Thanks

All I had was the requirement that they didn't place me in a class without my best friend (stability, someone to turn to, etc). As I only had a social anxiety diagnosis then the 'Tuttle can use a laptop for notes' was unofficial I think.

Well, what are some things you think would help you?

My daughter had a 504 plan a few years ago because of a chronic health problem that's now resolved. Her's had to do with make up work and excuses from the doctor. Also she had the option of leaving the room for the bathroom immediately without having to ask permission. She also had the option for skipping first period and coming in late on days when she felt ill, or spending first period in the nurses office, and taking a phenergan which we kept there for her, along with at home. She could also leave her class without permission and go to the nurse and someone would bring her work to her later.

Obviously, those won't work for AS. So I'm back to my original question of what would make school easier and better for you?

Well, forgive me, but I merely asked for generic aspie 504 suggestions, so that I can be influenced in my decision making.
