Interacting with people is just a movie script
Think about it. If you are talking about a certain topic, deviating too much from that topic during the conversation, and people won't like it.
i rarely say more in (real life) than i think is necessary to provide the minimum amount of information that is "acceptable". people sometimes say i rudely walk off in the "middle of the conversation", but in my mind the conversation is over, and they talk to them selves as i depart.

If people are joking about tomatoes, you can tell one or two jokes about tomatoes. After the second joke, a third one may not be welcomed. People are getting tired of the same thing.
i do not know any jokes about tomatoes. if someone was telling tomato jokes, and i was expected to remain in the conversation (like in board meetings where everyone is waiting for the boss), i would probably become absorbed in trying to formulate a joke about a tomato, and fail to hear any of their ensuing conversation.

You are asked a question, someone expects a question. Sometimes people expect only one answer. Any other answer can get them offended.
people only get one answer per question and that is it.

You move weird or talk weird, and you are a bad actor. You are a character no one wants.
i presume you are not talking to me. i think you are referring to other peoples judgements.
i do not care what people think about me as long as it does not interfere with my day
