Hi. I am new to the site, but am very impressed.

I have a 12 yo aspie who loves the trampoline. It is getting too cold here to go outside, so we are looking for a substitute that can provide the same sensation. He is the size of an adult, and the only products i've found are for smaller kids. We're looking for something other than an office chair. Maybe one of those enclosed-type chairs that spin around from a chain bolted into the ceiling. Can anyone help?

There are exercise trampolines that are small enough to be indoors. The legs are about a foot off the floor. My daughter had one. They're built for adults so should be fine for your son. Exercise balls might also provide the bouncy action. Is it bouncing up and down or flipping that he likes best?

I second the exercise ball idea for something to bounce on.

I thought about getting one of those seats that hang from the ceiling for my son, but I don't think they're designed to be used so exuberantly! He tried out a couple in Ikea, but he was swinging too much and too vigorously that I would worry that he'd bring my ceiling down. 8O

You could try one of the adult exercise trampolines as already suggested, or one of those large exercise balls that you sit on. Another option might be a wobble cushion.

Does your son see an occupational therapist? They would be able to suggest suitable cold weather alternatives to his trampoline.

If it's the bouncing he likes, maybe something from here?

http://www.jumpingballs.com/

They have adult-sized hippity-hop type balls, teen-sized bouncy horses, and bouncy houses.

How about stacking a couple matresses on top of each other, and letting him jump on those?
