I'm sure this has very little to do with Asperger's, but does anyone suffer from cold hands and feet, mine are like ice its so irritating cos they get immobile!

On the contrary, it has a lot to do with Asperger's. We have not as good blood circulation as NTs. There are several threads on this topic.

Thats interesting to hear, Litigious, at this present moment I think frost bite is iminent. I've read gingko biloba has beneficial properties for circulation, I just can't be bothered with lots of supplement/herbal pill popping! Perhaps moving to a warmer climate would help.

Yeah a vasodilator would make your extremities feel/be warmer

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vasodilation

Alcohol is reported to be a vasodilator but some how it boost blood pressure so I not
using it much. I heard a guy on the Titanic got super drunk because he was going to
died but he was one of the people pulled live from the water. You would loose core heat
but if your having bad frost bite risk alcohol could warm your extremities.

Niacin is potent vasodilator. It will even make your skin flush red. Note Niacin amide the common form used in vitamins is not a vasodilator.

Ah I see nitric oxide is a vasodilator to. Garlic boost nitric oxide so it can warm you to!

My aunt has this.

Gingko Biloba is a vasodilator, yes.

Apparently, gingkon biloba is good for the brain too, specifically memory and attention as it increases blood circulation.

I am quite the opposite. I feel hot all the time (temperature hot, not sexy hot). It must be the summers in Houston that programmed me.

This is most interesting; I had no idea cold extremities were associated with AS. I have cold hands and feet every evening, even in summer the slightest drop in temperature causes almost instant cold hands an dfeet for me. I have never known others who have cold noses like me; my husband calls me Rudolph in the winter and even work colleagues tease me about it. Where are the other threads on AS and blood circulation?

Hmm when I took too much thyroid medication in the past I felt hot. I wonder if
you might have hyperthroidism?

I take 64 mg (1 grain) gingko biloba each day since a couple of months. It helps circulation and attention a little bit, but it's not antidepressant or something like that.
