mice created artificially to appear "autistic" are still a very very long way from humans, and studies on mice need a long long long time and many more studies on humans to confirm it. Will humans be subjected to the same treatment as the mice in order to confirm this theory? I bet nobody volunteers!
Not today, not tomorrow... I find so called studies on "autistic" mice to be pretty irrelevant so far.

Hi. My name is brett. My Subject: ASD and Aging may be of interest. I am pretty sure the PARK gene is being looking at pretty closely. :)

I am in no ways an expert in this area, but a quick look produced the following:

Although copy number variants (CNVs) are rare and occur in <1% of patients with any psychiatric sample population, they are robustly and consistently associated with psychiatric disorders.

Source: Tbx1, a gene encoded in 22q11.2 copy number variant, is a link between alterations in fimbria myelination and cognitive speed in mice

Also the research evidence is based on MICE. So the research has a ways to go before a human link is established.

Thanks for the link lack of
myelination has come up before in autism.

There’s a big thing going on in the field of multiple schorosis where people are taking Clemastine found in anti allergy over the counter meds as it’s been found to potentially improve things.

As to whether this has an effect on autism is unknown
