What would you want? Boy or girl?

Myself, I'm a guy, and I'd prefer a girl for some reason.. Maybe because I feel i can help populate the aspie world with more females? Maybe because I'd like a few more in my life?

What would you like (have you wanted)? I read once that males wanting a female child was common for aspies, wanted to see if it were true

It would be a girl. If possible I would go to extreme longths to choose the sex of the child. I don't have to tell you why.

I want a male myself and one of either 2 things are going to happen. Either I will follow my father's and brother's footsteps and have a boy (8 in a row so far), or I will finally start to even out the odds and have a girl.

I don't think I could be a Dad.

I'm too much of a perfectionist, too emotional, too contradictory and generally too much of a mess. I'd be worried about driving my kids nuts! I suppose if I found someone who balanced out my undesirable character traits then it might be ok, but why should I expect anyone to do that?

Maybe you do, because I can't figure out why.

I have a daughter, and I love her immensely, but there's still that part of me that would like a son.
Even then, tho, with my luck, he probably wouldn't be into racing, computers, guns, planes, etc.

I picked the names for a girl--not sure about a boy

For a girl: Avril Noelle, or Maria Conchita

In the extremely unlikely event that I had a child, I would want a boy, no question. I think I'm particularly unusual in that I'm a female who generally dislikes other females.

I'm beginning to wonder if this anti-female thing is something that's permanently ingrained. I recently looked at my collection of around thirty stuffed animals, and realized that by the age of five or less, I'd only decided that two of them were girls. One of these is because it has clothes and is dressed to obviously be a girl, and one is named after a character in a comic it resembled, and the character was female. :?

I wouldn't want to have a child in the first place; but if I had to, I'd have a boy. There'd be more of a chance of an Aspie that way; and I just plain don't understand NTs enough to raise one.

I think you would be suprised how much female company you have on this issue.I tried several times to make female friends....they were so mean(and dull).I dont want to have kids but I know if I had a girl, karma would make sure she was a "girly"NT that would make me buy her dresses, because I cursed my mom with being a Tomboy when she had adopted a "girl"...ooops

I don't want kids, but if it came down to it, I'd want a girl. Boys are more likely to be loud and rambunctious, and I REALLY can't handle that.

Besides, if I had a boy child and he got involved with my interests (the way young kids tend to do with their parents' interests), it would just get him teased and made fun of. It's at least semi-OK for little girls to go to the museums, the symphony and the ballet. If you're a little boy and you do that stuff, plan on getting your butt kicked.

I would want a son.

If I wer to have a child, I'd like to have a Son. I don't think that I have the right Brain Type to raise a Daughter. I'm a woman, by the way.
